OUR HISTORYBethel Mennonite Church was born in 1890 when a group of Amish Mennonite young adults from local congregations decided to be baptized but requested to be baptized into the Mennonite Church rather than the Amish Mennonite church. They were given permission to proceed and formed Bethel. This gave Bethel an important, youthful and healthy start.
Through all of this, Bethel has been an ongoing supporter of the Mennonite Orphan's Home, now known as Adriel. This has been a ministry to the children and staff as well as an meaningful connection for the congregation. We feel very blessed to know that through it all, God has been ever present and leading us. We deeply value each other's support and care and trust that God will continue to lead us in the years ahead. |
